This practice serves grades 6–10 students in Algebra, Geometry, Prealgebra, and Chemistry — with a particular focus on students who benefit from a patient, structured approach.
Everything in this practice is designed to protect the one thing that creates real growth: consistency and trust. These agreements ensure that our sessions stay focused on what matters — your student's long-term independence, not short-term grade fixes.
My rates reflect 20 years of specialized expertise in math and learning differences — not just subject tutoring, but the whole-student approach my practice is built on.
Payment is due at the end of each session via Zelle. Monthly invoicing by cash or check is available upon request.
Consistent weekly sessions aren't just a scheduling preference — they're the engine of real progress. Inconsistent attendance disrupts the relational rhythm that makes this work effective. To support that consistency:
Evening Reminders: I send a courtesy reminder text or email the evening before each session.
Weekly Rhythm: Regular attendance is the single most important factor in long-term growth. I highly recommend protecting your student's weekly session time.
Because I maintain a small, specialized caseload, my time is reserved exclusively for your student. Please provide at least 4 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule.
Late Cancellations (under 4 hours): Cancellations made with less than 4 hours' notice will incur a 50% charge of the scheduled session rate.
Tutor Cancellation: If I ever need to cancel with less than 4 hours' notice, your next session will be discounted by 50%.
Sessions are enrolled as a recurring weekly commitment, not drop-in support. My practice is not designed for one-time homework help, single-session check-ins, or last-minute test cramming. Growth requires consistency — the irregular, crisis-driven model produces exactly the kind of anxiety my practice is built to reduce.
If an enrolled student needs an additional session during a particularly demanding week, supplementary appointments can be requested based on availability.
If at any point we determine the fit isn't working for your student, we'll have an honest conversation and I'll do my best to connect your family with appropriate resources.
I welcome brief check-ins about school updates or upcoming assignments. For deeper conversations, we can schedule a dedicated Parent Strategy Session (billed at the standard remote session rate). These sessions are well-suited for long-term planning, school advocacy, or academic goal review.
My goal is to keep our communication focused and purposeful, so that students gradually take the lead in their own academic story.
